Workout arms (see also anatomy file, click here)

 

We use the word "arm" to refer to the humerus. The world "forearm" is used to refer to the radius and ulna. The muscles described in section "anatomy" all have their bodies located near the scapula or upper thorax, but they insert and act on the humerus.

 

Start :

Lie on floor, face down, legs together, hands on floor under shoulder with fingers pointing straight ahead.

 

How to :

Push body off floor by extending arm, so that weight rests on hands and toes.

Lower the body until chest touches floor.

 

Precautions :

Body should be kept straight, buttocks should not be raised. Abdomen should not sag.
